Adopt Don't Shop

Love is the best. No one can deny that. You’re probably going to see a lot of buzz on social media about Valentine’s Day today…or “Singles Awareness Day” (what?!) tomorrow. We don’t care about either, but we are using your vulnerable state during this shitty “holiday” to tell you: “Hey, you don't have to die alone…and you could even save a life.”

Approximately 3.9 million dogs enter animal shelters every year, and only 35% of them get adopted. What’s worse is that 1.2 million dogs are euthanized a year! Now, we’re really not trying to make this as heartbreaking as Sarah McLachlan’s gut-wrenching ASPCA commercials. But it’s sad, and really bad if we don’t do something about it.

If you’ve never had a furry companion before, you’re missing out! You’ll see that the love you have for each other is unconditional, and the best part is they don't lie [unlike some humans], and they are loyal [unlike some humans]. Dogs are the only species that run to us for comfort when frightened, worried, or anxious—just like innocent children. They are also the only species that seek eye contact with us. Also, being the big spoon with your dog cannot be beat. We can go on and on…

Yes, dogs are amazing. But we still love you if you’re not ready for that commitment. However, we do ask that if you ARE ready, to visit your local animal shelter and adopt rather than buy from a pet shop (they are the worst!).

We’re proud to say our team is full of dog lovers, but more importantly dog ADOPTERS! We gathered and pampered some of our babies for a photoshoot to hopefully bring some awareness to this issue. This is not sponsored. This is not about sales.
